It's has been a while since my last post (April 2016). Where has the time gone? My last post talked about who to invite to your event, this post we will focus invitation design.
There are so many invitation designs out there, you can order your invitations, that are professionally done or you can create your own. The Do it Yourself (DIY) invitations can be simple but yet elegant or can be complex and elegant. Of course if you create your own invitations you will need access to a printer.
A simple invitation can look like the picture and you can purchase already pre-cut cards and pre-printed design from Michaels, Walmart, Staples, can you believe that?
All you have to do if format your Word document and create your design in Word and print, that's it. Formatting means to adjust your paper to the size of the invitations and the great thing is these boxed BLANK invitations come with instructions. Basically that's all you have to do. I have seen invites that just have simple fonts with the invitation information and I have seen some colorful; it's your event so let your creativity run wild (but don't be tacky).
Just note that creating your own invitations takes a lot of work and patience and if neither of these are in your characteristics then purchase professionally done invites. Sometimes paying more can mean less headaches then by all means pay to have someone else create the invitations!
